What does it mean to do ethnographic research as a creative writer, thinker, artist, doer? In the tradition of the European and AmericCover of the book How She Read by Chantan Gibsonan salons, where scientists and artists met to chart out of the edges of their practices, Melisa Cahnmann-Taylor with a panel of ethnographic poets including Adrie Kusserow and Leah Zani, share a piece of ethnographic poetry and identify its contributions to anthropological knowing. Following that Chantal Gibson will read from her genre-blurring book How She Read. Participants are encouraged to bring and share examples, ideas, and directions for creative ethnographic futures. Supported by the Council for Anthropology & Education & the Society for Humanistic Anthropology.

This event will take place in the gallery for the At the Terminus exhibition. This will provide participants the opportunity to meet with other scholartists and visit Wakanda University and the sq̓əq̓ip – gathered together installation.
