By public transport
you can take the Freret Jet (RTA 15) from stop 5 at Canal Street just past Baronne Street (about 4 blocks from the Sheraton moving away from the canal). That bus follows the Freret Corridor and stop 2 Napoleon is the closest to the DuMois Gallery (about 4 blocks). Bus fare appears is $1.25 each way and the bus runs every 30 minutes on weekdays until the last bus at about 9:50 from DuMois back to towards downtown. It appears to be about a 20 minute trip.
Street Car:
Take the St. Charles Ave. Street car west to Jefferson Ave. Walk north five or six blocks to Freret Street. Walk east three blocks to the gallery at 4921 Freret st.
By car
you need to leave the Sheraton heading southeast on canal street towards Magazine Street. Make a UTurn at St Peters Street. Take St Peters just short of a mile and turn left at S. Claiborne Avenue for about 3 blocks then continue onto US-90W (signs for claiborne Ave) for about 2 miles. turn left at Napleon Ave for half a mile, and then left at Freret Street. The DuMois Gallery will be on the right. this will take about 10 minutes with no traffic.
Taxi cabs
are readily available at the Sheraton. Cost is around $15 for the trip.
